What Professional Achievement Means to Me

I am ecstatic and honored to become a Diplomate in the year of the American Board of Ophthalmology's 100th anniversary. As a second-generation ophthalmologist, I am committed to continuously improving the quality of patient care in this dynamic field of medicine. The American Board of Ophthalmology's tagline "Advancing Excellence in Eye Care" reflects my mission of providing high quality care aligned with the core competency building blocks. Professional achievement and Board Certification represents a culmination of each step it took to become a better provider and a continuation of steps to maintain that achievement. Every person—such as patients, physicians, nurses, technicians, mentors, friends and family—I have encountered throughout my training and career is an integral part of this professional achievement. Thank you and many more Happy Birthdays to the American Board of Ophthalmology!
