The Minority Ophthalmology Mentoring program has expanded its Class of 2021 to 100 well-qualified students. This leaves the program in need of more mentors willing to guide students through medical school and, ideally, into ophthalmology residency.
If you are interested in serving as a mentor, please complete the online interest form by Friday, July 23 at survey.alchemer.com/s3/6210941/mom-mentor-speaker-2021.
Mentors of all races and ethnicities are welcome. A mentor is asked to connect with their mentee at least three to four times each year, and more often when needed. More information about the program and mentor-mentee relationships can be found at aao.org/minority-mentoring-physicians.
The American Board of Ophthalmology is a proud supporter of the Minority Ophthalmology Mentoring Program.
