Former ABO Director Picked to Lead Ophthalmology's Largest Society


The American Board of Ophthalmology congratulates Emeritus Director Stephen D. McLeod, MD, on his appointment as the American Academy of Ophthalmology's next Chief Executive Officer. The Academy announced this week that Dr. McLeod, who leads a robust research, education, and patient care program at UCSF, would succeed David W. Parke II, MD, as CEO effective February 1, 2022. In addition to his academic and clinical practice in cornea and external disease, Dr. McLeod is currently the editor-in-chief of Ophthalmology. Click here to read the full announcement.
