Congratulations to American Board of Ophthalmology Diplomate Khodam Rostomian, MD, who has been named Medical Director at Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley in Lancaster, CA, according to the Antelope Valley Press. Dr. Rostomian has held various leadership roles over the past 17 years including assistant to the past two area medical directors. Dr. Rostomian told the newspaper that his primary objective is to provide "high quality care" that extends beyond the traditional clinical aspects of care and addresses equitable outcomes for all patients. “For me, it’s almost like a new definition of higher quality of care,” Dr. Rostomian said. “We like to focus on that more, and that is where I see for us to achieve addressing social determinant of health among our patients, we have to get more and more involved with the community.”
