Give your certification status a check-up by checking in with the American Board of Ophthalmology at AAO 2019.
All day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday during the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting in San Francisco, American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO) staff will be available to answer your recertification questions. We'll be set up in an informational booth located inside the AAO Resource Center. No pre-registration is necessary. Stop by and say hello!
On Sunday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in West 3014, the ABO will co-sponsor a symposium (SYM16) with the American Ophthalmological Society: “What You Need To Know From the Past Year’s Literature.” This symposium will highlight a compendium of key journal articles and discoveries published or presented during the previous year in a cross-section of subspecialties, with analysis and commentary by leading experts.
On Monday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in South 204, the ABO will deliver its first instructional course on initial certification (#454): “Passing Your Boards: Facts and Myths about the American Board of Ophthalmology Examinations.”
Later on Monday from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, the ABO will present a Learning Lounge (LL35) entitled “MOC: Your Questions Answered.” During this session, you can meet with ABO Directors and staff who will share with you the most frequently asked questions about maintaining certification and help you better understand your next steps.
